What we collect, which is not much

If you use the contact form, Netlify processes the fields you submit (name, email, optional suburb, topic, message) and we receive them at callum.sherwood.seo@gmail.com. Use that address if you want a message deleted. Sending the form does not create a solicitor–client relationship and does not start privilege.

Hosting and analytics logs may include IP addresses, user-agent strings and pages requested. We do not sell mailing lists. We do not ask for your children’s full identities, bank passwords, or court document numbers on the public form — please do not volunteer them. Treat the form like a postcard.

External links (courts, Services Australia, 1800RESPECT, Legal Aid) have their own privacy practices. This page is not legal advice about the Privacy Act or about client confidentiality. Solicitor–client confidentiality only exists if you actually engage a lawyer. See how online legal help works.

What we do not do

• We do not operate a client trust account.
• We do not store court bundles for you.
• We do not use the form as a conflicts-check database.
• We do not promise end-to-end encryption on a public marketing form.

Cookies and hosting

The site is hosted on Netlify. Standard platform logs and any privacy tools Netlify applies to the site sit with that host. If a later analytics script is added, this page should be updated. Today, do not assume a “legal-grade” privacy program — assume a small educational publication.

Children

This site is written for adults who need vocabulary about Australian family law. Do not put a child’s full name, school, medical detail or location into the form. If a child is in danger, call 000 or use a specialist service — not this inbox.
